Founded in 1936, South Carolina Federal Credit Union provides a range of financial services, including savings and investments, checking, insurance, credit cards, and loans. The member-owned financial institution operates 29 offices in seven major markets statewide, including Charleston, Columbia, Georgetown, Greenville, Florence, Myrtle Beach, and Spartanburg, serving over 175,000 members. South Carolina Federal operates under the credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People.' In the first half of 2024, employees logged over 1,200 volunteer hours at different nonprofits and events around the state, including Prisma Health Children's Hospital Diaper Bank events and Tails and Trails 5K benefiting the Greenville County Animal Care.
