About

Whataburger is known for bold flavors, fresh ingredients, original recipes and endless customizations. Our distinctive orange-and-white stripes welcome Guests in to experience our extraordinary hospitality. Harmon Dobson opened the first Whataburger in Corpus Christi in 1950. He envisioned a burger so big you had to hold it in two hands – and so good you couldn’t help but say “What a burger!” Whataburger has more than 50,000 Family Members (what we call our employees) at restaurants in 14 states (AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, KS, LA, MO, MS, NM, OK, TN, TX). Whataburger operates more than 1,000 restaurants system-wide with sales exceeding $3 billion annually.
